Is There Such a Thing?
I’m not asking if there’s such a thing as the law of attraction. That’s a done deal. We know that we create our reality. But how exactly do we do that? Is there a method we should follow, a five-step-plan that leads to all things wonderful?
Well, no is the rock solid answer to that question. The reason for that resounding no is that we are all different. And whilst there are no exact methods to creation for each any everyone of us, there are methods for each of us. Confused?
Although I may perhaps sound as if I am contradicting myself here, I am not. What I am saying is that there is no ‘one size fits all’ method. What works for me may not work for you. Well that’s a lot of bloody use Evie. Actually, this is the most useful piece of information you will ever read about the law of attraction. We move reality with our feelings, but in order to make the big things happen, by make, I mean intentionally create events and circumstances that lead to the thing that we desire most (you know that thing that you think is impossible for you to have) we have to train our subconscious mind to work in harmony with our rational brain. This is the rub. When you are just starting out with this reality creation thing, you might struggle to bring them in-line with each other.
You might search for things like: How to manifest easily or Easy manifestation techniques. You try them and wonder why they aren’t working for you when they have clearly worked for loads of people. What is wrong with you? Nothing is wrong with you. It’s just that this particular way is not the way for you. Your mind and subconscious works with its own unique pattern. We are all unique. When you realise that it’s not necessary to use someone else’s techniques then you start to bring it all together. You understand that you are in charge of your destiny and you may just have to look for something else to help you move forward.
Devine Intervention?
I am not religious but I do believe in asking for help at times. I’m not sure who I am speaking to but I have a theory that simply by asking for help, I am giving up a little control and that in turn leads to great things. I know that the universe is not deciding for me. It isn’t considering my request and pondering whether or not I ought to get whatever it is or whether it’s right for me. If it hasn’t come, then I am not ready for it and that’s all there is to it. It’s all about me and my feelings.
The Subconscious Mind and It’s Power
I have discovered that it’s all about our subconscious belief. I don’t mean the little things. I mean the beliefs we have held all of our lives, only we didn’t even know that we held them. It’s those feelings that stop us from getting stuff.
I had no idea that I held on to a subconscious belief that I wasn’t quite good enough. Good enough for what? Well, everything really. I discovered this belief quite by accident. I bumped into someone I hadn’t seen for years and she was asking me all about my life, my work, all that stuff you ask when you haven’t seen a person in ages. I was telling her, and feeling quite anxious about telling her. Stupid I said to myself. The thing was that I was telling her what I was doing and I was feeling like a fraud, as if I was making it up, only I wasn’t. Imposter syndrome my psychologist friend told me that’s what I had. She was right. It was then that I thought about my actual feelings about myself and I realised that for some unfathomable reason, I felt as if I wasn’t quite good enough. It was rubbish. As soon as I actually confronted the feelings and realised what a load of tosh it was to believe that about myself, that belief went. I am not joking, it actually went in a split second.
Everything after that moment became easier because I no longer held a nonsense belief. I’d been carrying it around but I didn’t know it was even there. Work became easier, more work came (not the stuff I didn’t really want) I became an author and a content writer in the space of a couple of years. It turns out that I am good enough after-all. I suddenly started believing in the action I was taking. I knew I could write and now I know that the only thing holding me back from being successful was my subconscious mind.
Using Your Feelings to Manifest
We manifest things all of the time. We do it with our feelings. People get hung up on the ‘thought’ thing, but in reality, they have no real bearing on our manifestations. They are good for one thing and that’s provoking the feeling and emotion that will drive your manifestation. So learning to control your feelings really is key to making this stuff work for you. Be mindful of the fact that a strong emotion about something will have an effect on how you experience it. Controlling our feelings takes work. I think that this is where people start to think that they can’t possibly make the law of attraction work for them because it’s too hard to be mindful of their own feelings.
I have always been a hugely impulsive, reactive person. I’d open my mouth before engaging my brain. I’d respond to something I Perceived as negative in an instant and I had no idea that I didn’t have to do that, that I could train myself out of it. Now I know better. That’s what I’ve done, and how I’ve changed my way of living and thinking. It hasn’t been easy at times, but I’ve had a determination to change my chore being, the heart of me. Not because I believe that I was in any way defective before, but because I wanted to get things and become a more controlled and calm version of me.
I relentlessly practised handling my emotions as they hit me. I practised stopping and thinking about things before reacting even though there were times that was really, really tough and I could have quite easily let myself go to impulse. I didn’t want to be reactive because I knew how I had manifested negative things by being so. Now I don’t ever feel the need to react right away. I like stepping back and considering my response and sometimes I don’t even feel the need to respond at all.
Trying to Make Things Happen
Don’t get hung up on the trying because you won’t succeed in bringing what you want to you in the best way, or even at all. The law of attraction brings those great things to you when you stop trying. The real key to all of this is letting go. If you can intend something and give it some positive emotion before letting it go, then that really is all that you need to do. Don’t mess with your manifestation by trying to control it. Let it happen and don’t worry about the amount of time it takes. Take action if you need to, but don’t get hung up on the outcome that you want. That comes when you’ve taken the action. You don’t need to worry that you may not have done everything that you need to do because you really don’t need to do anything else.
Remember – We make things happen with our feelings, not our thoughts and we can change the way we think about ourselves by going deep and identifying the negative beliefs that we hold.
